The US Gulf Coast market is still reeling from Hurricane Ida making landfall in late August with significant offshore production as well as Louisiana refining still out of commission. Damage to key port infrastructure is promising to make this storm related outage for offshore production more extended than prior storms. This may offer a more balanced market recovery than traditional supply led recoveries, making for a potential inventory neutral outlook for the recovery.
