The ongoing Israel-Iran conflict brings back a focus on the Strait of Hormuz as a key conduit for oil trade. From an oil market point of view, a key risk is if Iran decides to disrupt or close the narrow shipping lane. If the conflict escalates and the shipping lane is disrupted, crude and refined product export flows will be hit hard.
