Guarantees of Origin (GoOs) are important for verifying the origin of renewable electricity. They provide transparency and assurance to consumers, showing that their energy consumption supports sustainable practices. They play a useful role linking to government policy, providing a way to measure and verify renewable energy consumption against government targets. This report provides commentary on current volume and price dynamics in the GoO market, paying particular focus on the contribution and of the largest European power markets – Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
