Presenting our latest 10-year outlook for solar PV development in Southern Europe, this regional report focuses on major European markets like Spain, Italy and Turkey, along with Portugal, Greece and the Balkans region. Reaching 215 GWdc by 2032, regional cumulative capacity is set to quintuple in the next 10 years. Spain will lead solar generation in the region, followed closely by Italy. Over the last year, Wood Mackenzie has incorporated more depth and detail on country-specific distributed solar markets in our quarterly regional European reports. We will continue to analyse how policy and economic factors draw increasingly more attention to distributed solar in Europe.
