Webinar - Europe power markets 2022 outlook to 2050: Net zero power case
Report summary
On 23 February, the European Power markets team hosted a webinar to discuss the recently released net zero power case. The net zero power case moves Europe’s major markets to a position in which emissions-free electricity supply is achieved prior to mid-century. In addition, the electrification of energy demand is a major theme, supporting progress towards overall net zero emissions close to 2050. With transport, space heating and hydrogen acting as the foremost vectors in this electrification trend, the scale of power markets expands substantially.
