17 Integrated IOCs and NOCs in our coverage are plotting different routes into an uncertain future for their downstream businesses. Refining is the main cash engine for most companies’ downstream businesses, accounting for about half of the downstream EBITDA 2024-2030. Petrochemicals contribution to downstream EBITDA jumps from 10% in 2024 to 22% in 2030 as margins expand.
