Following a series of recent divestments, Chevron's refining and marketing portfolio consists mainly of integrated positions in the US, Asia and South Africa, while chemicals operations are separately undertaken by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company. The company has no direct exposure to Europe's low-margin refining environment and benefits from the feedstock advantage that the US market offers both in refining and chemicals.
