Genscape weekly European market signposts - Jet imports wane as floating flotilla builds
Report summary
This weekly update integrates Genscape’s proprietary monitoring of near-term data with Wood Mackenzie's Product Markets Short-Term analysis to provide insight to the fast-changing European oil products markets. Given the forecast weak jet fuel demand and surge of recent imports, jet floating storage volumes could exceed the total ARA jet storage volumes in the coming weeks. The implications of this product overhang for jet fuel crack spreads and overall refinery margins is extremely negative, capping any upside potential and limiting the return of ‘normal’ production levels in the near term.
