Malaysia downstream oil outlook
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Over the next 20 years Malaysia's economy will continue to expand at a strong pace and we expect the road transport sector will be the key driver of oil demand growth, mainly for diesel/gasoil. Despite the removal of subsidies at the end of 2014, Malaysia's retail fuel prices remain government-controlled and adjusted on a monthly basis. Although the downstream market is liberalised, national oil company Petronas dominates refining and also operates the largest fuel retail network.
