Post-BG acquisition, Shell will continue to reshape its corporate portfolio. As part of its on-going optimisation plan, Shell has divested many non-core downstream assets - as well as entire business segments - in recent years and is expected to continue doing so as part of an aggressive divestment programme. Selected disposals have seen its European refining business emerge leaner and more focused, but there is room for further high-grading in the fuels marketing segment.
