Report summary

The Cambay Basin is thought to be prospective for shale gas within three main depositional centres. The available TOC and thermal maturity data indicate that the play will have condensate volumes and is analogous to the Eagle Ford play in North America. The play is ideally situated in the heart of India's main onshore conventional area. There is a comprehensive network of pipeline infrastructure and high levels of industrial activity in Gujarat.
