The Cody is a shale gas play in the Montana Thrust Belt with upside potential that is critically dependent on additional exploration. Since 2005, Bill Barrett has been the leading explorer in the play, drilling a total of six wells with only three having gas shows. Neither Bill Barrett nor any other operator has announced further exploration or development plans in this play.
