Lobo tight gas unconventional play

Report summary

The Lower Wilcox (Lobo) is one of the most productive gas play in the Gulf Coast Basin, having been overtaken by the Eagle Ford during 2012. This is in spite of its complex geology and operational challenges. Extending across Webb and Zapata counties in southern Texas and in to Mexico, the Lobo trend is considered the core area of the larger Lower Wilcox formation that trends to the northeast along the Texas coastline.
