Asset Report
Lower Vicksburg tight gas unconventional play
Report summary
The Lower Vicksburg is a tight gas play that has proven challenging to develop, largely due to its extreme depths and poor reservoir quality that makes repeatability difficult. The play extends from the Texas-Mexico border northeast into Nueces County. Compared to other unconventional gas plays in the US Gulf Coast, the Lower Vicksburg is relatively small, both in terms of areal extent and resource potential.
