Mancos shale gas unconventional play
Report summary
The Mancos Shale is one of many prospective dry gas plays which have been evaluated in the Rocky Mountains. The wider Mancos Formation is present in the Uinta, San Juan, and Piceance basins. It is geologically similar, but a different drilling target, to the tight oil Mancos Formation currently being tested in the San Juan Basin. This analysis focuses solely on the Mancos shale gas play in the Uinta Basin of northeast Utah.
