Report summary
The Paraná Basin is the most de-risked frontier Basin that was featured in Brazil's Round 12. Over 110 exploration wells have been drilled and three technical discoveries have been made (excluding Petrobras' oil shale operations). In Round 12, the Basin drew the most interest and 16 blocks (making up 88% of the 49,373 km2 offered) were licensed. Six companies have now committed US$100 million of work to the Round 12 acreage licensed here.
