2022 guidance: upstream companies' capital budgets and production targets
Report summary
A total of 136 companies have revised their 2022 capital budgets. Our tally has upstream investment at US$315billion or 18% more than in 2021. When it comes to output, targets are also up. Combined, the 119 companies that have announced 2022 production guidance expect to produce 2.2 million boe/d (4.5%) more than they did in 2021. We are also expanding coverage of capital budgets beyond upstream. Companies that disclose multi-year, multi-segment investment outlooks have been added to the insight.
