The Adam Block is located in the Tunisian region of the Ghadames Basin where there has been significant exploratory success in targeting the Silurian Acacus and Tannezuft formations. Eni operates the block with a 25% interest. Eni's partners on the block include ETAP (50%) OMV (20%) and Medco Energi (5%). Eni discovered the Adam field with its first exploration well on the former Borj El Khadra concession in September 2002. Oil production started in 2002 and the fields are now in a natural decline.
