Akkas is a gas field located in Iraq's western desert in the province of Anbar, 30 kilometres away from the Syrian border. The Akkas gas field started producing in March 2023. It was brought online by state-owned Midland Oil Company (MdOC). The field was originally held by KOGAS under a 2010 technical service contract (TSC).
