Amal is a small offshore oil and gas field located in shallow water in the southern province of the Gulf of Suez, around 15 kilometres southeast of GUPCO's giant Morgan field. The field came onstream in 1988 and was developed using a fixed platform.Cheiron (formerly PICO International) acquired the field from Total (now TotalEnergies) in 1994.
