Report summary

Amstel was discovered in the southern North Sea by NAM in 1962 but was initially deemed to be too marginal to develop. 3D seismic and appraisal drilling in the 1990s confirmed the expected extent of the field but the low oil price at the time again led to the field being considered non commercial.
