Anchois, a deepwater gas field, is located 40 kilometres off the coast of northern Morocco. Repsol YPF (now Repsol) discovered the field in 2009 with the Anchois-1 well. Repsol, along with partners Gas Natural Fenosa (now Naturgy) and Dana Petroleum, considered Anchois to be sub-commercial, owing to relatively small volumes discovered and relinquished the field in 2014.In 2019, Chariot Oil & Gas (now Chariot), an independent London-listed company, acquired the repackaged Lixus block and ...
