Over one year has passed since Angola basked in the glow of Cobalt's play-opening Kwanza basin pre-salt Cameia discovery. In conjunction with Maersk's 2011 Azul discovery, Cameia significantly de-risked the emerging play and proved hoped-for analogues with Brazil's pre-salt were sound. The find also provided a major boost to an impressive variety of deepwater specialists such as BP, Total, Statoil and ConocoPhillips.
