It has been reported by Reuters that Apache has engaged bankers to sell assets in the Texas panhandle and western Oklahoma and is looking to raise at least $2.5 billion from the sale.  The company has recently been under pressure by activist investor, Jana Partners, to shed international assets and focus on its most profitable areas.  Our valuation of Apache's Anadarko Basin position is $3.8bn.
