It has been reported by Reuters that Apache has engaged bankers to sell assets in the Texas panhandle and western Oklahoma and is looking to raise at least $2.5 billion from the sale. The company has recently been under pressure by activist investor, Jana Partners, to shed international assets and focus on its most profitable areas.
