The Beach Drillsearch merger, coming hot on the heels of Westside's bid for Armour Energy, highlights the continued levels of M&A consolidation amongst the region's small and mid-caps. The new Beach will be Australia's largest mid-cap E&P with scope for further expansion. We expect further consolidation of the sector to come, particularly in the Cooper/Eromanga Basin.
