The Baltim block is located in Egypt's offshore Nile Delta, north of Eni's Nooros area. During the 1990s, Eni, through its wholly-owned Egyptian subsidiary, International Egyptian Oil Company (IEOC), discovered several shallow water fields. All discoveries, except for Tersa, have been brought onstream. The 2016 discovery of Baltim Southwest significantly boosted output from the area.
