Bashneft, a subsidiary of Rosneft since 2016, holds most of its assets in Bashkortostan (Volga-Urals). Bashneft also operates a few licences in West Siberia as well as the Trebs and Titov project in Timan-Pechora which is covered in a separate report. In 2014, following a court ruling regarding irregularities in AFK Sistema's acquisition of Bashneft the Russian government seized Sistema's 50.8% interest in Bashneft.
