Report summary

Bibi Hakimeh is one of Iran's giant fields, located in the prolific Zagros Basin, with two key producing reservoirs (Asmari and Bangestan) and a gas cap. Production peaked at almost 450,000 b/d in 1971, making it the fifth largest oil producer in Iran at that time. Bibi Hakimeh has been the subject of several studies by international oil companies aimed at assessing the enhanced oil recovery (EOR) potential of the field.
