Bijupirá and Salema are two mature fields believed to still hold some upside potential in untapped reserves. They are located in the central Campos basin and were discovered by Petrobras in 1990. The fields produced for a number of years through a pilot test. Full-field development took place once Shell assumed control and production re-started in August 2003.
