Blocks 01&02 (Ruby)

Blocks 01 and 02 are contiguous blocks located in the Cuu Long Basin, offshore south Vietnam. Ruby was the first commercial field to be discovered on the acreage in August 1994, and a number of smaller fields have been subsequently found, including Pearl, Topaz and Diamond. Phase I of the Ruby field development was brought onstream, ahead of schedule, in October 1998. The field was initially developed via a minimum facilities wellhead platform (WHP), linked to a floating, production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO). A second WHP on Ruby was installed in October 2005, followed by additional platforms in 2009 and 2010 for the development of the Pearl and Topaz fields. The Topaz North and Diamond fields were brought onstream in early-2013 and mid-2014 respectively.
