Report summary
The Bongkot concession included three blocks - B15, B16 and B17 - in the Gulf of Thailand. It comprised of a collection of compartmentalised gas reservoirs in the Malay Basin. The main Bongkot field was brought onstream in 1993 and is one of the primary suppliers of domestic gas to Bangkok. The initial development focused on the central and northern accumulations (Greater Bongkot North) and incorporated three wellhead platforms (WHP), a central processing platform (CPP), an accommodation platform and a floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO) for liquids handling. A further development phase, incorporating additional WHPs and a riser platform, was completed in 1996.
