On 31 March, BP and CNPC signed a PSC for the Neijiang-Dazu shale gas block in the Sichuan Basin, with CNPC as operator. This marks the second shale PSC in China between an IOC and CNPC following Shell's Fushun-Yongchuan agreement in 2012.However, unlike Shell's PSC, BP will be a non-operator in the Neijiang-Dazu block.
