The Reynosa-Monterrey block is located in the north-east of the Burgos basin. The most important fields are Monterrey, Chapul and Lomitas. Reynosa-Monterrey was one of five blocks awarded in 2003 under Mexico's first Multiple Service Contracts (MSC) licensing round.
