Can Gabon reverse the decline? 2019 Gabon research trip key takeaways

Report summary

In June 2019, Wood Mackenzie travelled to Libreville and Port-Gentil in Gabon for research. We met with E&P companies and the NOC, Gabon Oil Company to discuss key themes and the latest developments. The 2019 licensing round and the uncertainty surrounding the new petroleum code were the main talking points. The code has been passed by the Senate but is awaiting a presidential signature and publishing. E&P companies are reluctant to bid without this. A new regulation enforced by the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa is also causing great concern. Download this Insight to find out more, and see the key takeaways from our trip.
