Report summary

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) pipeline is the key export route for Kazakh liquids. It was commissioned in 2001 to link the super giant Tengiz oil field to international markets and is currently under expansion. The CPC runs across west Kazakhstan and Russia to a dedicated marine terminal at South Ozereika near Novorossiisk on the Black Sea.Although the CPC was primarily built to transport Tengiz crude it is also an important outlet for other Kazakh and Russian operators.
