The landlocked Caspian region – from Azerbaijan to Central Asia – is known for its giant fields and high costs. Oil and gas are its economic, commercial and employment lifeblood. The current oil price crisis therefore brings unprecedented uncertainty, compounded by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Powered by our Lens platform, we share our initial views on how well the Caspian upstream sector will withstand the near-term shock and how this changes our outlook.
