The Cerro Dragón Area is Argentina's largest oil producer. It covers four adjacent producing concessions in the San Jorge basin. The most important concession is Anticlinal Grande-Cerro Dragón. In 1995, the Cerro Tortuga-Las Flores and the Chulengo concessions were incorporated into the original Cerro Dragón block.
