The Changuleh field, one of Iran's recent discoveries in the prolific Zagros fold belt, lies 50 kilometres southeast of Mehran and just five kilometres north of the Iran-Iraq border. The field shares hydrocarbon resources with Iraq's Badra field via the Azar field.Owned by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Changuleh holds an estimated 4.8 billion barrels of stock tank oil initially in place (STOIIP).
