Chevron loses second major asset in South East Asia
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
PTTEP has won the auction to operate the G1/61 (Erawan) and G2/61 (Bongkot) PSCs from 2022. PTTEP's aggressive bid beat Chevron, who has now lost its second major asset in South East Asia in 2018. The result comes as little surprise and confirms PTTEP’s strategy to secure further domestic gas supply. This decision will have a big impact on both PTTEP and Chevron's production outlook in Thailand and the whole region.
