Report summary
The Chuanzhong PSC includes the producing Bajiaochang gas field, located in the north of the Sichuan Basin. Burlington Resources submitted a development plan for the field which was approved in 2004, and the field was expected to supply gas to the Sichuan gas network starting from 2005. The production level was below expectation due to technical challenges faced during field development and the tight nature of the Bajiaochang field reservoirs.
