Cliff Head
Report summary
Cliff Head was the first commercial oil discovery in the offshore Perth Basin. The Final Investment Decision (FID) was taken on 14 March 2005, with construction beginning in Q2 2005. Production licence WA-31-L was awarded over the field in October 2005 and first oil was produced in May 2006. The field development consists of an unmanned offshore platform, connected via a 14 kilometre pipeline to a dedicated onshore processing plant.
