Report summary
LNEnergy operates the Colle Santo gas field, located in the Southern Apennines basin of central Italy's Abruzzo region. The field was discovered and appraised by AGIP (now Eni) in the 1960s but was not developed due to a lack of regional infrastructure at the time. The field is located in an environmentally sensitive region where pipeline construction is prohibited. LNEnergy is instead pursuing a small-scale LNG solution designed to minimise surface infrastructure and limit the project's environmental footprint. Two existing wells drilled by Forest Oil in 2007, Monte Pallano-1 and Monte Pallano-2, will serve as the production wells, with no additional drilling required. The field is expected...
