Report summary
The Continental Europe review looks at the key upstream events in 2023 across five themes, production, investment, exploration, M&A and decarbonisation. Production slumped to its lowest since pre-1970 as Groningen’s decade-long enforced decline came to an end with the field ceasing. But the trend is set to reverse as investment increased, Türkiye’s Sakarya project came online and Romania’s Neptun Deep took FID.
