Report summary
The large Cygnus gas field in the Southern Gas Basin lies 45 kilometres northeast of the Trent field. Cygnus started production in December 2016 and is one of the UK's largest gas producers.The field has three bridge-linked manned platforms, collectively known as Cygnus Alpha. In addition, there is a normally unmanned wellhead platform - Cygnus Bravo - located six kilometres to the northwest.Cygnus currently produces from 11 horizontal production wells.
