Report summary
Didon is an oil field located offshore, five kilometres west of the Libyan maritime border in the Gulf of Gabes. Elf Aquitaine (now Total Energies) discovered Didon in 1976, but despite subsequent appraisal drilling the field was considered uneconomic at that time. MP Zarat Ltd., a Tunisian oil and gas company acquired the field and proceeded with a one-well FPSO development in 1998.Appraisal drilling in 2003 increased reserves for Didon, proving that the field extends further east than ...
