The Disouq block is located onshore Egypt in the prolific Nile Delta. ARGO made the first discovery on the acreage – Disouq – in 1992. The block was re-offered as part of the 2002 EGAS bid round, and awarded to RWE Dea (now Wintershall Dea).RWE Dea launched three exploration campaigns targeting the Pliocene, Miocene and Oligocene plays and discovered six further gas fields and one oil field between 2005 and 2014.
