Asset Report
E5 & EU1 (Sinphuhorm)
Report summary
The Phu Horm discovery, renamed Sinphuhorm in August 2007, lies approximately 110 kilometres north of the Khorat Basin, onshore Thailand. The field, initially discovered by Esso in 1984, was successfully appraised by Amerada Hess in 2002. The field straddles the EU1 and E5 blocks and is approximately 45 kilometres north of ExxonMobil's producing Nam Phong field. First production from the field was achieved in November 2006. The Sinphuhorm field supplements gas from the Nam Phong field, which is in natural decline.
