Ek-Balam
Report summary
The Ek and Balam fields are located offshore in the Bay of Campeche, 95 kilometres northeast of Ciudad del Carmen. The fields are part of the Cantarell Complex, Pemex's third largest offshore business unit. The fields will be offered as one of the JV opportunities available with Pemex. The Ek and Balam fields are located in the Pilar-Reforma-Akal Basin. The basin is bounded to the west by a normal fault system within the Comalcalco Basin and to the east by the edge of another normal fault system of the Macuspana Basin.
