Ethiopia's landlocked basins form part of the East African Rift system, a prolific oil and gas province. The Somali-Ogaden-Mandera Lugh basin is Ethiopia's largest basin.Updated gas resource estimate. To reassess Ethiopia's gas resources, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum recently appointed US-based Netherland Sewell and Associates.
