The Etinde permit is located on the southwestern edge of Rio Del Rey Basin, offshore Cameroon. The area was originally licenced to Mobil in the 1960s, and the first discovery, Isongo, was made in 1967. Further exploration by Total and Bowleven led to the discovery of eight additional fields.
